The KONIG POLSKI: these little Polish horses are the descendants of the Tarpan, the wild horse which inhabited the steppes, forests and moors of Europe, alongside the bison and aurochs.

The last specimens of the tarpan were distributed to the peasants by the Polish nobility at the beginning of the 18th century.

The KONIG POLSKI is the descendant of the Tarpan, to which it has remained very close genetically. A small size (1.1 m – 1.3 m), grey colour with a stripe on its back, hardiness, courage and gentleness characterize this horse.

La Ferme de l’Aurochs is a member of the French Konig Polski association, which maintains the herdbook of the Konig Polski.
